Mary Catherine Harris

Mary Catherine Harris (nee Owen), 76, of Bel Air, MD, passed away at her home on November 10, 2011. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Joseph and Alma Owen. She graduated from St. Andrew's Business School in Baltimore. She retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maryland after 20 years of service as a customer service representative in the Federal Employee Program. Mary worshipped at both St. Margaret's Catholic Church and Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards and membership in the Red Hat Society.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert W. Harris of Bel Air, MD; adoring daughters, Marjorie A. Fulmer of Bel Air, MD and Cathy A. Sobel and her husband, Jerry; beloved granddaughter, Alanna Rose Sobel all of Douglaston, NY. She is also survived by a sister, Cleo Riordan, of White Marsh, MD; a brother, Richard Owen of Lewisburg, PA; and special niece, Colleen Gambrill and her husband, Gary, of Bel Air, MD. She will be deeply missed by devoted family caregivers, Nancy Guanti, Rana Vanhook and Mary Eisenhart.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Owen, Ruth Owen, Joseph Owen, Jr., Dorothy Madigan and John Owen.
