MARY CATHERINE “CATHY” CORCORAN, age 64, of Bel Air, MD, died on September 27, 2006 at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Francis and Mary Theresa Joyce. A homemaker, she grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, and later became a longtime resident of Edgewood. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a longtime member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic minister and coordinator for the Sharing Table. She was a Co-Chairlady for the Maryland State Council Knights of Columbus Ladies Activities, and was past president of the Corpus Christi Ladies.
Mrs. Corcoran is survived by her husband of 42 years, Patrick E. Corcoran of Bel Air, MD; two daughters, Kathleen A. Browning and her husband Charles H. Browning III of Woodbine, MD, and Margaret A. Hammen and her husband Edward G. Hammen Jr. of Gainesville, FL; one brother-in-law, Leo Houston of Pittsburgh, PA; and five grandchildren, Amelia K. Browning and Caroline P. Browning, both of Woodbine, MD, and Haleigh M. Hammen, Casey L. Hammen and Hunter L. Hammen, all of Gainesville, FL.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Eileen B. Houston.
Pallbearers were Chuck Browning, Eddie Hammen, Buddy Houston, John Hickey, James Fenton, and Patrick Fenton.
