Mary Beth Crisco of Bel Air, MD, died October 5, 2011 at 3:20 am. She was 74. Born August 18, 1937, in Joppa, MD, she was the daughter of the late Albert E. and the late Audrey Silling Harmeyer and wife of the late Carl Crisco Jr.
Mrs. Crisco was a 1955 graduate of Bel Air High School where she was a four sport athlete. She received an AA from Towson State University and a BS in General Studies and Master of Library Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.
In 1998, she retired from the Harford County Public Library after 38 years of service, where she supervised the first automation of public libraries throughout the county. She was a member of the Maryland Library Association.
Her interests included flower gardening, genealogy, and crafts. She was a Harford County Master Gardener, a member of the Historical Society of Harford County, and a charter member of the Bethel 35 International Order of Jobs Daughters. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling with her cousin Pauline Bell.
A lifelong member of the Mountain Christian Church, she served in various capacities over the years.
Mrs. Crisco is survived by three sons: Carl Richard and his wife, Michele, of Pylesville MD, Mark Allen and his wife, Kathleen, of Bel Air MD, and John David and his wife, Dayna, of Ellicott City MD; six grandchildren, Anna C. Reilly, Kevin Crisco, Mark Crisco Jr., Jacob Crisco, Zachary Crisco and Leah Crisco; one great grandchild, Aria Rose Reilly; one sister, Brooke Wilson of Fredericksburg VA; one brother, Grayson Russell Harmeyer and his wife, Connie, of West Palm Beach, FL; and five nieces and one nephew.
Pallbearers will be Kevin, Mark Jr., Jake, and Zac Crisco, Dewayne Wilson, Jay Meeks, Scott Little, and Ed Taylor.
