Mary Alice Reed

Mary Alice Reed, age 93, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on September 26, 2013 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Street, MD, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes Ann Martin Lowe and wife, for 58 years, of the late Alvis H. Reed Sr. She was a member of Long Green Valley Church of the Brethren, loved kids and had a great sense of humor. She started playing piano at the age of six and loved music.

Mrs. Reed is survived by her sons, Alvis H. Reed Jr. of Aberdeen and John T. Reed of Bel Air; daughters, Elizabeth Scott of Bel Air, Ann Cook and husband, David, of Berwick, PA and Darlene A. Reed of Bel Air; six grandchildren, Cheryl Frey of Bloomsburg, PA, Mark D. Scott of Glen Burnie, Sandra L. Frey of Bloomsburg, PA, Brian Reed of Abingdon, Kimberly Hammett of New Freedom, PA and Angela Cech of Bel Air; 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her brothers, Frank, Bill, John, Dick and Thomas Lowe; and her sisters, Mable Vencill and Gertrude Norris.
