Marvin Edward Swift

May 5, 1920 — March 15, 2005

MARVIN E. SWIFT, age 84, of Fallston died Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at his home. Born in Woodbine, PA, he was the son of the late William Henry and Lula Ann Shanbarger Swift. He was a welder at Port Deposit for many years and was a member of the Teamsters Union for 16 years. He and his wife, Blanche Wyatt Swift, would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this month. He enjoyed gardening and reading.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Shirley Gross and her husband, W. Steve Gross of Edgewood; Diane Petersen and her husband, Dr. Ronald Petersen of Rochester, Minnesota; and Beverly Bergmann of Edgewood. He has eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Grover Swift and his wife, Faye of Delta, PA and was preceded in death by three sisters.

Pallbearers will be: S. Michael Gross, Chad E. Gross, Ron C. Petersen, Matthew J. Petersen, George Thompson, Jr., and James Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, Maryland 21093-5142.
