Marvin Rickey Casey

May 31, 1954 — March 26, 2025

Stewartstown

Marvin Rickey Casey (Rick) age 70 of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania, made his final journey to be an angel on March 26, 2025.

Born in Saltville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Marvin Casey and Evelyn (Darnell) Tharp; stepson to the late William Edward Tharp (Big Ed), who instilled Rick's love for the outdoors. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his brother, Harvey Casey.

Rick spent much of his life in Maryland, where he became a specialist in HVAC, however, he was extremely profound in all trades, shown through his many home renovations, working on automobiles, and construction of his own home in Montana. Rick will always be known for his knack of storytelling, and jokes that in no doubt would have you grinning from ear to ear.

Rick sacrificed many of his dreams to ensure his family was taken care of day in and day out. When the opportunity presented itself, he took action and secured his eutopia in Montana, finally finding his true sense of "home." In the Big Sky state, he was living his best life, pursuing his passion for hunting, fishing and the great outdoors, a love he passed down to his children, who continue the tradition in his honor.

Rick is survived by his life partner of 44 years, Susan Casey; sons, Matthew Allen Casey (Amanda Johns), Joshua Lee Casey (Rachel Friedman); Keith Michael Casey, Sr. (Jennifer), Rickey Marvin Casey (Christina); grandchildren, Hunter Casey, Autumn Casey, Garrett Casey, Keith Casey Jr., Colin Casey, Sara Ogden, Kayla Presley, Kyle Casey, Briana Casey; great grandchildren, Colton Casey, Daniel Casey, Ricky Casey, Celestina Jorez; brothers, Eddy Tharp, Johnny Tharp, Timmy Tharp, Jeff Casey, John Casey.

He is also survived by several aunts and uncles, which he was especially close with his Aunt Dottie Thornton.

May Rick rest in peace, knowing he left lasting laughs, and memories that will live forever in our hearts.
