Martha Jane Cutlip, age 86, of Kingsville, Maryland passed away on August 18, 2022, at her home. Born in Stony Point, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late William and Nola (McAlpine) Norton and wife of Royal Cutlip. She was a member of Presbury United Methodist Church for 47 years. At the church she served as the Sunday school superintendent. Martha was also a member of the United Methodist Women. She loved to spend her spare time gardening, canning, sewing, and playing all sorts of games with her family. She also found fulfillment in preparing meals for the Del Mar Hunt Club. Martha loved her grandchildren dearly. Being “Nan” was her favorite job. She cherished any time she got to spend with them.
Martha is survived by her husband of 52 years Royal Cutlip; two daughters, Janice (Jimmy) Moon, Kimberly (Robert) Class; son, Jeffrey (Kathleen) McKissack; Sister Nell; brothers Mack and Barry; twelve grandchildren, Matthew (Kristen), Jeremy, Jessica (David), Ashley (Mark), Karen, Sarah, Tyler, Chandler, Delaney, Carson, Shaun, Jason; seven great-grandchildren, Ayla, Mason, Tucker, Patrick, Penelope, Cheyenne, Elijah; sister Nell and brothers Mack, and Barry.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nola Ruth Norton; father, William Ray Norton; sisters, Betty and Doris; and brothers, Bob, Jerry, and Dale; stepdaughter Debra Kay and stepson in law Gary Harris.
