Martha Lee Grafton

Martha Lee Grafton, of Forest Hill, Maryland, died on January 24, 2024 at the age of 94.

Miss Grafton was born October 30, 1929 in Peru, Nebraska.  She was the daughter of the late Willard Emmett Grafton and Dorothy Redfern Grafton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Keith W., Kenneth R., H. Darrell, and Richard E.  Grafton.  Also, a nephew, Andrew Grafton, and her longtime companion, Bernard Harkins.

Miss Grafton is survived by her sister-in-Law Mary Katharine Grafton and niece Katharine Susan Grafton as well as two great nieces and two great-great nephews and two great-great nieces.

She graduated from Bel Air High School in 1946.

A lifelong member of the Deer Creek United Methodist Church in Forest Hill, Maryland,

Miss Grafton was an active member of the official board of the church as well as the United Methodist Women and Circle Group of the church.  She was a Sunday School teacher for over 60 years.

Miss Grafton worked for many years on Main Street in Bel Air, first at Petticoat Lane Dress Shop, followed by the Hub Department Store, and lastly for Boyd & Fulford Pharmacy for over 40 years.
