Martha Davenport

MARTHA DAVENPORT, age 75, of Edgewood, MD, died on May 29, 2007 at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Born in Conetoe, NC, she was the daughter of the late James McGibbert and Beulah Marie Coburn Rawls and wife of the late David Ashley Davenport. A Harford County resident for 42 years, she worked at Bata Shoe Company on the sewing line and also for Martin Marietta. Her passions in life were sewing, cooking and bowling. She belonged to the Harford County USBC women’s bowling association. She received the Secretary of the Year for 2007 and many previous years before. She also had the highest average in many of the leagues that she bowled in.

Two sons, James A. Davenport of Port Deposit, MD and Jeffery A. Davenport of Edgewood, MD; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter survive Mrs. Davenport.
