Marta M. Isella

Marta M. (Laughlin) Isella, age 71, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on February 1, 2022, at home in Joppa, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Martin and Elsie (Emge) Laughlin and wife of 32 years to Frank Isella. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, baking, and woodworking. She enjoyed exercising and visiting with her friends and family to whom she often delivered special homemade treats. She was a proud mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Marta especially loved attending her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events and was always their biggest (and most vocal) fan. She cherished hosting family gatherings and the opportunity to feed and spend time with her loved ones. She prided herself on her elaborate Easter Egg hunts and Thanksgiving feasts. Her annual zinnia garden was one of her special joys and visitors would be sure to get a tour of the garden if there were any new blooms or seed experiments in progress.

Marta is survived by her husband Frank Isella; three daughters, Charmagne E. (Razalan) Wallace, Joline (Fiancé Mike) R. Razalan, Angela C. (Razalan) Wrzosek; two stepdaughters, Angelia (Bill) M. Roop, Melanie (Sean) A. Bonner; two sisters, Patricia Brazier, Joan (Greg) Shaeffer; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Clara Laughlin, father, Martin Aloysius Laughlin, and brother, Jack Laughlin.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers and remembrances, donations be made in memory of Marta Isella to the Klein Family Harford Crisis Center. Please make the donation payable to the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation.
