Marlene Curry-Taylor

August 15, 1940 — December 13, 2008

Marlene Curry-Taylor, age 68, of Churchville, MD, died on December 13, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Oscar and Virgie Irene Phillips Beck. A lifetime resident of Harford County, she retired after 12 years from the Harford County Public Schools where she was a secretary. She was an avid square dancer with the Bayside Promenaders, the Yellow Rockers, the Wee Bees, and the Dublin Dancers. A member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, she enjoyed the time she was able to devote and share with the church. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed camping. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Curry-Taylor is survived by her husband, who she married in 2005, Robert Taylor of Churchville, MD; sons, George "Dewey" Curry Jr. of Conowingo, MD and Robert James Curry and wife, Michelle, of Havre de Grace, MD; daughter, Cheryl Lynn Hansford and husband, David, of Bel Air, MD; brother-in-law, Albert Bair of Edgewood, MD; grandchildren, Nathan Curry and wife, Kate, Danielle Curry and husband, Roy Brown, Michael Curry and wife, Melissa, Damien Brinegar, Meghan Brinegar, Holly Curry, Branden Curry, and Kayli Curry; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Curry, Kaidei Curry, Marley Curry, Elizabeth Curry, Kaden Brown, and Tristan Walker. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband of 46 years, George D. Curry Sr., a brother, James Beck, and her sister, Shirley Bair.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Curry, Michael Curry, Damien Brinegar, Branden Curry, Roy Brown, David Bennett, and Brian Bennett.
