Mark Andrew McGinnity, age 44, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on November 22, 2014. Born in Baltimore, MD, he is the son of Dorothy Frances Chojnowski McGinnity and the late Henry Joseph McGinnity. He was a 1988 graduate of Parkville High School, a 1992 graduate of Towson State University where in 2011 he received his Masters. He worked for the Maryland State Department of Education for 10 years where he was a Regional Manager for the Department of Child Care Licensing. A member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Abingdon, he loved spending time with his wife and three girls. He liked planning trips, cooking, reading and playing games. He was a talented artist and loved teaching his children the truths of the Bible.
Mr. McGinnity is survived by his wife of 20 years, Diana M. Kern McGinnity; daughters, Meghan Eileen, Maria Dorothy and Rachel Amanda all at home; brothers, Michael H. McGinnity of Hampstead and Matthew A. McGinnity of Timonium; and eight nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations for a fund set up for Mark's three daughters. Contributions may be made to New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 128 St. Mary's Church Road, Abingdon, MD 21009 with "McGinnity Fund" noted on the memo line.
