Mark A. Franklin, age 55, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on September 20, 2012 at his home. Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late James Arthur and Helen Sirawsky Franklin. A resident of Harford County for 13 years, he was a member of Local Union #26 and had worked as a Master Electrician for 15 years. He worked as an officer at the Maryland Transportation Authority and later joined the Aberdeen Police Department where he was a detective assigned to the CSI area. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson and was a committed family man who was known for his character and motivational skills when working with others.
Mr. Franklin is survived by his wife of one year, Aileen E. Franklin of Bel Air, MD; sons, Charlie Franklin and wife, Heather, of Glen Rock, MD, Cody and Carson Franklin of Bel Air, MD; daughter, Casey Green and husband, Nick, of Parkville, MD; sister, Deborah Tilkens and husband, Raymond, of Highland, MD; grandchildren, Jacob Shoemaker, Brenna and Teagan Franklin, and Logan Green; and nephews, Matthew and Zach Tilkens.
