Marjorie Jean Laye

JEAN LAYE, age 75, of Havre de Grace, MD, went to meet the Lord on July 31, 2006 at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center-Riverside in Belcamp, MD. Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late John Ferguson and the late Marjorie and Leonard Knapp. She worked as a budget analyst for the US Government at Edgewood Arsenal for 31 years. She was the former Youth Director for the First Baptist Church of Havre de Grace, MD. Her family said that she enjoyed working with the youth of Calvary Baptist Church, quilting, and crafts.

Mrs. Laye is survived by her husband of 50 years, Donald Laye, Sr. of Havre de Grace, MD; two sons, Donald Laye, Jr., and his wife, Ruth Ann, of Jacksonville, FL and Randolph Laye, and his wife, Kathy, of Bel Air, MD; five grandchildren, Donald Laye, David Laye, and Aaron Laye, all of Jacksonville, FL, Wade Laye of Annapolis, MD and Adam Laye of Bel Air, MD; and two great-grandchildren, Charlotte Laye and Jack Laye, both of Annapolis, MD.
