Marjorie Jane Russell

Marjorie Jane Russell, a resident of Edgewood, MD, died at the age of 70 on August 26, 2016 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. She was born in Albemarle, NC to Woodrow and Hattie Ethel (Cole) McSwain.

She was an Army spouse who was all about her family with whom she loved to go camping. She was a great cook and loved to bake and also enjoyed working in her flower garden. She also loved shopping, Walmart, and was really into establishing her family genealogy. She never said a bad thing about anyone.

Survivors include her husband of 51 ¾ years, Billy W. Russell; her children, John Russell (Kim) of Edgewood and Lisa Amick (David) of Newport News, VA; her sisters, Jackie Russell of Duram, NC and Hazel Cole of Albemarle, NC; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Gonzales (Karel), Christopher Amick, Michael Amick (Stephanie), Brandon Russell and Lauren Russell; great-grandchild, Deken; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Larry McSwain, Sarah McSwain and Norma Burr.
