Marion I. Brooks

Marion I. Brooks, age 84, of Edgewood, MD, died on December 7, 2008 at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA. Born in Macungie, PA, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Samuel and Bertha Mae Moyer Lorish and wife of William M. Brooks. She had worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Bel Air Memorial Gardens and had been a volunteer at Fallston General Hospital or Upper Chesapeake Medical Center for 22 years. A member of Mountain Christian Church in Joppa, MD for over 50 years, she had been a member of the church choir, a Girl Scout Leader, and was a foster parent to many children.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by her daughters, Billie Sue Zoerman of Grand Rapids, MI, Cindy Kay McCleary of Port Deposit, MD, Dori Jean Koppelman of Bel Air, MD, and Terri Ann Magness of Bel Air, MD; brother, Vernon Lorish of Virginia; sister, Elizabeth Lorish Shevitz of Pennsylvania; eleven grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Marilou Dell Brooks and a sister, Betty Jane Butler.

Pallbearers will be Jason Koppelman, Brandon Koppelman, Jonathan Holloway, Kristofer Zoerman, Charlie Spilker, Adam Magness, Tim O'Toole, and John Goodnow.
