Marion E. Gunther, age 88, of Edgewood, MD passed away on February 25, 2012 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Fisher and Lillian Thelma Schutter and wife of the late Howard G. Gunther. She moved to Harford County from Baltimore County in 1983 and was a longtime member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Edgewood. She was also a member of the Joppatowne Golden Agers and the Ladies Auxiliary at the American Legion Post #17 in Edgewood. An avid bingo player, she enjoyed playing cards, traveling and in her younger years, she enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mrs. Gunther is survived by her daughter Evie Wise and husband, Chuck, of West Chester, OH; brother, John Fisher Jr. of Frederick, MD; sisters, Doris Price of Severna Park, Ida Jackson and husband, Jack, of Little Rock, AR, and Charlotte Fisher of Florida; two grandchildren, Jason M. and Brandon C. Wise; and nieces and nephews, August William Spealman and wife Tina, Charles Gunther and wife, Mai, Tom Lau and wife, Lisa, Bonnie Schriefer and husband, Wayne, Charlotte Marie Spealman, Linda Gunther Welch, Deborah Gunther Dorsey and husband, David, and James Frey and wife, June. Also survived by many other family and friends.
A reception will follow at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
