Marilyn Lundgren, age 71, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on April 15, 2024, at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, Marilyn was the cherished daughter of the late Milton and Martha (Veitch) Lundgren.
Throughout her life, Marilyn embodied compassion and dedication, evident in her longstanding involvement with the Gertrude Barber Center in Erie, PA, where she shared her warmth and kindness with many. In Harford County, MD, Marilyn found fulfillment through her active engagement with Richcroft, leaving an indelible mark on the community she served.
Music was the melody of Marilyn's life, her fingers dancing across piano keys with grace and passion. Despite life's challenges, she continued to fill the air with music, captivating hearts until her final days, even playing for loved ones during the joyous season of Christmas. An enthusiast of beauty in the smallest of forms, Marilyn had a love for doll collecting, and doll shows. She had many opportunities to travel to many different countries, enriching her life with culture and connection.
Marilyn is survived by her devoted brother, Mel (Beth) Lundgren. She also leaves behind two nephews, Matt (Miranda) Lundgren and Jason (Shirley) Lundgren, along with her niece, Angie Lundgren, and four adoring great-nieces and nephews.
In honoring Marilyn's memory, the family kindly requests donations to the Senator Bob Hooper House at 2007 Klein Plaza Dr, Forest Hill, MD 21050, with "In memory of Marilyn Lundgren" noted on the memo line.
