Marilyn Anne Root

Marilyn Anne Root, age 81, of Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania passed away on October 22, 2022 at her home. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Samuel and Anna (Wells) Branham. She was a tribal member of the Monacan Indian Nation in Amherst, Virginia and a graduate from North Harford High School in 1959. Marilyn worked 50 plus years at the Department of Army in Aberdeen Proving Ground and Edgewood Proving Ground in Maryland as a general accountant and budget analyst. She loved to landscape.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 31 years, Duane Root; daughter, Diana Fender; son, Brian (Dottie) Fender; brothers, Douglas Branham and Danny Branham; and grandchildren, Andrew Fender, Candice Fender and Timothy Fender.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Janet Scarff, Ruby Reigle and Audrey Schuler.
