Marie Rigdon

MARIE RIGDON, age 87, of Chesterfield, VA, died peacefully on April 13, 2008 at Johnson-Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late George Melvin and Hazel Helena Hamilton Keen and wife, for 52 years, of the late James Ely Rigdon. She retired in 1975 from Harford County Public Schools where she was a bus driver for 19 years. She had been a member of Wilna Homemakers and was active in Keenagers at Calvary Baptist Church. She was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church and later became a member of New Life United Methodist Church in Virginia. She had lived the last six years in Virginia with her daughter.

Mrs. Rigdon is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Gordon Bowers of Chesterfield, VA; two sisters, Charlotte Baldwin of Fountain Green, MD and Nancy Streett of Bel Air, MD; four grandchildren, David Kellner of Bowie, Jesse Kellner of Annapolis, Anna Kellner of Bowie and Emily Bowers of Woodacre, CA. and two great-granddaughters, Ella and Joelle Kellner. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Carole Ann Kellner and four brothers, George Keen, Carl Keen, Howard Keen and Warren Keen.
