Marie A. Pychinka, age 92, of Bel Air, MD passed away on November 23, 2014 at Autumn Assisted Living in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Emma Lind Purcell. She was the devoted wife of the late Walter Pychinka for 67 years. During WW2 she worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground. She enjoyed socializing with her friends and helping others. She loved her family and was a kind and happy person who was known for being compassionate.
Mrs. Pychinka is survived by her children Carol Ascenzi and husband, John, of Bel Air, Edward "Buddy" K. Purcell and wife, Nancy, of Edgewater, FL and Lee Stevens and husband, Jim of Towson; grandchildren, Laurie Ascenzi of Bel Air, Robert Ascenzi of Forest Hill, Carol Purcell of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Charles Purcell of Edgewood, Susan Stevenson of Bartlett, TN, Sandy Ficca of Baltimore and Mark Perin of Mt. Washington; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one brother and three sisters.
