Marian Louise Broomfield

Marian Louise Broomfield, age 87, of Jarrettsville, Maryland passed away September 10, 2023 in Jarrettsville, Maryland. Born in Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Clara (Watling) Hintz and wife of the late Clarence Broomfield. Marian attended Michigan State University for two years where she met her husband. She was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in Forest Hill. Marian loved flowers and had many hobbies; she enjoyed needlepoint, quilting, reading, traveling abroad, and collecting miniatures and dollhouses. 

Marian is survived by her son, Richard Broomfield; daughters, Cheryl Onesky and Deborah Broomfield. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Marian was preceded in death by son-in-law, Howard Scotland III. 

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11:00 am at Advent Lutheran Church, 2230 Rock Spring Road, Forest Hill, Maryland 21050. 

Contributions may be made to Advent Lutheran Church or Helping Up Mission in Baltimore.
