Maria Belen Guerrero Trabel

Maria Belen Guerrero Trabel, age 84, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, at Lorien Bel Air in Bel Air, Maryland.

Born in the Philippines, Maria, known as “Marbel” by her family, was the daughter of the late Carlos and Avelina (Verador) Guerrero. She was the beloved wife of Bernardo Trabel, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. She was a cherished mother to her daughter, Avelaine Trabel of Bel Air. She was also a proud grandmother to Julian Hernandez and Amelia Hernandez. She was a beloved aunt to several nieces and nephews. 

A devoted Catholic, Maria was a parishioner at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Abingdon, MD.

Maria was a dedicated hospital pharmacist for over 25 years, where she was known for her expertise, hard work, and warm personality. She was well-liked by colleagues and patients alike, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she worked with.

A talented artist, Maria had a passion for painting, drawing, scrapbooking, crocheting, and photography. She had an innate creativity and found joy in capturing beauty through her art. She also had a love for flower gardening, crossword puzzles, and, of course, music—especially the band Queen.

Maria was an exceptional cook and baker, famous among her family and friends for her apple cake, carrot cake, and empanadas. She loved preparing meals for those she cared about, and her home was always filled with love and delicious aromas.

Above all, Maria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was elegant, meticulous, detail-oriented, and had a gentle nature. Maria always put the needs of others above her own and was considerate of others' feelings, showing kindness and love in everything she did. Her strength and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
