MARGUERITE FINNEY DANCE, age 74, of Bel Air, MD, died on June 24, 2007 at Stella Maris Hospice, Timonium, MD. Born in Annapolis, MD, she was the daughter of the late Humphrey Stanley and Olive Marguerite Macey Finney. A longtime resident of Baltimore County, she graduated from Randolph Macon Women’s College in Lynchburg, VA. She worked as the senior editor and editor’s assistant for the Maryland Horse magazine, and was recognized for her extensive knowledge of equine pedigrees. Also an authority on questions regarding the English language, she was a master at crossword puzzles.
Ms. Dance is survived by three daughters, Macey Dance Kimsey of Harrisonburg, VA, Laura Dance Alexander of Bel Air, MD, and Sarah Dance Parr of Towson, MD; a sister, Patricia Jane Hansen of Charlotte, NC; six grandchildren, David Kimsey, Finney Kimsey, Thomas Kimsey and MacLean Kimsey, all of Harrisonburg, VA, Bryan Alexander of Bel Air, MD, and Skyler Parr of Towson, MD; and one great-granddaughter, Ariana Jaylese Knight of Harrisonburg, VA.
