Margie K. Fender

Margie Karen Fender, age 91, of Bel Air, MD passed away on December 28, 2016 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Lansing, NC, she was the daughter of Walter Gray and Martha Cornelius Powers, and was the wife of the late Rufus Ray Fender. She was a longtime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed going to her TOPS meetings. She also enjoyed the beach and working out at the Planet Fitness in Rock Spring. She loved to read and do puzzles.

Margie is survived by daughter, Martha B. Romero; sister, Doris Weaver; brother, Walter "Ken" Powers; two grandchildren, Tammy Edwards and Sarah Greenspun; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Marshall, Samantha and Josh; and four great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Ray R. Fender, one sister, four brothers and great grandson, Jacob.
