Margie ''Granny'' L. Lowe

Margie (Granny) L. Lowe passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 91 on July 25, 2016 at her home in Forest Hill, MD. She was born on January 17, 1925 in Delhart-Galax, VA to Nadine Chappell and moved to Bel Air during WWII where she went to work at Edgewood Arsenal. She later worked for Acme Markets until her retirement. For years, she was an active member of the VFW Post 5337 in Abingdon and was a very, very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Joppa.

Survivors include her daughter Doris Noonkester and husband Donald; son Roger Barrett; stepson Paul Lowe; grandchildren Donald Noonkester Jr., Teri Millar, Lori Jones, Gary Noonkester, Jamie Noonkester and Danielle Regalbuto; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sister Myrtle Ann. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Warren Lowe; her grandson Randy Noonkester; and her siblings Howard, Homer, Heath, Hurley, Herman and Mary Lee Chappell.
