Margaret Maddox Pierce

Margaret Maddox Pierce, age 77, of Bel Air, MD, died on February 19, 2009, after a short illness. Born in Fallston, MD, she was the middle child of five brothers and sisters of the late Ernest Barbour and Hazel Marie Amos Maddox and wife of the late Harold Hoover Pierce. A life-long resident of Harford County, she was widowed in 1968 after 12 years of marriage. She had worked for C&P Telephone Company and most recently as a Home Health Care Aide, which she truly enjoyed. She delighted in walking, needlework, and crossword and jigsaw puzzles.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by daughters, Dorothy Selway and husband, Charles, of Forest Hill, MD and Jody Bachman and husband, Joseph, of Columbia, MD; sons, R. Wayne Pierce and wife, Kathy, of Crownsville, MD and Ronald Pierce and wife, Camellia, of Lexington, VA; and eight grandchildren, Heather and Laura Selway; Kimbrey, Katie and Bryan Pierce; and Brett, Morgan and Kyle Bachman. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Bryan Pierce.

Pallbearers were Wayne, Ronnie, and Bryan Pierce; Charles Selway; and Joseph, Brett, and Kyle Bachman.
