Margaret "Sally" Sarah Kemen, age 89, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on March 25, 2024, at home. Born in Woodlyn, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Sarah (Crowe) Lafferty and wife of 53 years to the late Eugene Kemen. Sally was a former member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Edgewood, MD, and currently attended Mountain Christian Church with her family in Joppa, MD. She belonged to the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the VFW, Post 5337, in Abingdon, MD. She was a Harford County resident for 57 years. In earlier years Sally and her late husband were very active in the square-dancing community. They traveled all over the country performing at different conventions. She loved the freedom of traveling. Her family had a travel trailer and would go on extended camping trips with friends, visiting many different states along the way. Sally was a very active volunteer in many different aspects of her community. She would spend her downtime reading and cherished the days she got to spend playing cards with her girlfriends. Rummy and skip bo were her favorites. She also adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to watch them play and listen to their laughter.
Margaret is survived by her son, Michael (Susan) Kemen; grandchildren, Brittany Kemen, and Wesley Keithley; and great grandchildren, Colton Keithley, Zeppelin Keithley, and Ronnie Keithley.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her four brothers and two sisters.
