Margaret Frances Kohlerman, age 90, of Bel Air, MD, died on February 4, 2010 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born January 21, 1920 in Westover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Durwood Belmont and Rhoda Sharpe Ford Blake, and wife of the late Jim Kohlerman. She was raised in West Virginia where she went to Richwood High School and later moved to Baltimore, working for Glen L. Martin as an assembler for 16 years. She moved to New Jersey and worked, for 23 years, at the RCA Aero Space Center which was later purchased by General Electric. She was devoted to her family and adored her great granddaughters and great-great grandsons.
Mrs. Kohlerman is survived by her daughter, R. Kay McCray of Bel Air, MD; grandchildren, Sandra K. Bothum of Houston, TX, Karen N. Chesnut of Lanesville, IN, William N. Kraus III of Dover, TN, and Tracey B. Kraus of Bel Air, MD; seven great-granddaughters, Jacquelyn Carpenter, Brittany Baker, Candace Kraus, Lindsey Bothum, Ali Weinberg, Madison Weinberg and Baylie Burd; and two great-great grandsons, Landon Carpenter and Weston Baker. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Harry and Ronnie Blake, and her sisters, Hallie Lease, Lois Strickler, and Phyllis Blake.
Visitation was held at McComas Funeral Home, P.A., Abingdon, MD on Monday, February 8, 2010. Funeral service will take place at a later date in Richwood, WV. Interment will be in Richwood Cemetery, Richwood, WV.
