Margaret Jane Bowman

Margaret Jane Bowman (née Farthing), age 89, of Edgewood, Maryland, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024. Born on January 6, 1935, in Welch, West Virginia, Margaret was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Vada (Robinson) Farthing and the devoted wife of the late John Edward Bowman, Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy.

Margaret had a deep love for her family and found joy in caring for them. She was an avid Bingo player, loved to sew and crochet, and her travels around the world with her husband during his naval career were cherished adventures that broadened her experiences and brought her happiness. Margaret was known for her gentle spirit, love of community, and her ability to bring warmth into every room.

She is survived by her sons: John T. Bowman, Jeffery L. Bowman, and James P. (Nancy J.) Bowman; as well as her grandchildren: John P. Bowman, Daniel W. Bowman, Shannon Clair Bowman, and Raechel M. Bowman.
