Margaret B. Powell

Margaret B. Powell, age 78, of Bel Air, MD died on July 27, 2012. Born on October 20, 1933 in Glenville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Orther Clarence and Georgia Belle Mabes Elliott. Margaret was a lifelong resident of Harford County and a graduate of Bel Air High School. She was a homemaker for many years before going to work at Northrop Grumman Corporation. In her retirement, she enjoyed her winters in Florida with her dear friends and her role as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In 1953, she married Ray Powell who predeceased her in 2001. She is survived by her five loving children, Charles and his wife, Cynthia, of North East, MD, Michael and his wife, Claire, of Fort Myers, FL, Maria Schueler and her husband, James Lindsley of Forest Hill, MD, Kenneth and his wife, Linda, of Bel Air, MD and Sandra Vervier and her husband, Joseph, of Conowingo, MD; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a former daughter-in-law, Donna Powell of Elkton, MD; former son-in-law, Carl Johnson, Jr. of Abingdon, MD; brothers, James Elliott of Rowlett, TX and Ruben Elliott of Darlington, MD; and sisters, Anna Watson and Corina Head, both of Bel Air, MD.

The family is very grateful for the excellent and compassionate care offered by the staff of Amedisys Hospice during Margaret's final days.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Vervier, Luke Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Scott Johnson, Nathan and Joshua Schueler.
