Margaret Alter

Margaret Alter, age 92, of Tustin, CA passed away on October 6, 2012 at her son's home in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Joseph and Anna Mary Sutter Reusing and wife of 61 years to the late Fred Alter. A homemaker, she was a member of the bridge club at the McFaul Center and St. Margaret Catholic Church. She was a master quilter, avid scrabble and poker player and a huge fan of the Orioles and Ravens. She was an exceptional and dignified Mother, Grandmother and friend.

Mrs. Alter is survived by her sons, Frederic Alter and wife, Susan of Houston, TX, Robert Alter and wife, Brenda of Forest Hill, MD, William Alter and wife Delores of Graceton, PA, James Alter and wife, Donna of Fairfax, VA, George Alter and wife Neena of Charlotte, NC and Stephen Alter and wife, Marian of Tustin, CA; daughters, Margaret Henrichon and husband, Ernest of Bedford, NH and Barbara McLaughlin and husband, Patrick of Vista, CA; sister, Mary Arnold and husband, Jesse of Reading, PA; dear friend, Jonica Litz of San Diego, CA; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one brother and four sisters.
