Marcella "Marcy" Gizinski, age 78, of White Hall, MD passed away peacefully on March 13, 2018 at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of Alexander and Alexandra (Toczylowski) Saynuk and then later raised in Baltimore where she met and married her beloved husband, the late Leonard “Len” Joseph Gizinski, Sr.
Marcy was a homemaker who loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She enjoyed working with the children at both Norrisville and Jarrettsville Elementary Schools where she worked in the cafeteria and also helped the children during study hall. After retiring from the school, she stayed home to help raise her own 11 grandchildren. She liked gardening – especially her roses – becoming the “world traveler” with her husband Len, and later doing crafts and line dancing with her friends at the Senior Center. In her later years, Marcy enjoyed taking trips and spending time with her children and their families.
Marcy is survived by daughters and their spouses, Debbie & Bill Fleischmann of Seven Valleys, PA, Marcanne & Jack Saneman of White Hall, MD and Bonita & John Miller of White Hall, MD; sons and their spouses, Lenny Gizinski, Jr. & Erika Rossi of Stewartstown, PA and Gary & Kerry Gizinski of Street, MD; grandchildren, Kristin and Eric Fleischmann, Heather & Drew Poole, Lindsay Saneman, Danielle & Jake Sayler, Allie & Mason Dunham, John, Ben and Joe Miller, and Shelby and Brett Gizinski; sisters, Lorraine and the late Philip Szczepanski, Theresa & Joe Vach; brother, Robert & Kathy Saynuk; and many nieces and nephews.
