Manuel Laureano Gã³Mez Rico

Manuel Laureano Gómez Rico, age 66, of White Marsh, MD, died on April 14, 2010 in Kingsville, MD. Born in Fomeque, Cundinamarca, he was the son of the late Cayo Cerbulo Gómez Jimenez and Rosa Tulia Rico Rodriguez. The oldest of seven children, he was born and raised in Colombia, South America where he enjoyed exporting goods to the U.S. He was married to Clara Alicia Parra De Gómez and raised three sons. In 1985 he came to the U.S. and became a citizen in 2008, and then met his wife who he has been married to for 8 years. An international chef, he owned and operated Delicious Malagori Catering Company, malagori.com. Born and raised Catholic, he later became a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Towson. His family said he enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Gómez Rico is survived by his wife, Cindy Lee Derickson Gómez of White Marsh, MD; sons, Juan Manuel Gómez Parra of Tarpon Springs, FL, Ricardo Andres Gómez Parra of Tampa, FL and Mauricio Gómez Parra of Riverdale, MD; daughter, Isabela Lina Gómez of White Marsh, MD; brothers, Ivan Gómez Rico and Carlos Cerbulo Gómez Rico; and sisters, Maria Cristina Gómez Rico, Rosa Gómez Rico, Nini Gómez Rico and Leticia Gómez Rico.
