Major Stephen B. Conneally Usaf (Ret.)

Major Stephen B. Conneally, USAF RET, died November 28th at his Bel Air home following a lengthy struggle with Fronto-temporal Dementia/Lewey Body Dementia. He was 65.

Stephen was born June 3, 1944, the son of Elizabeth and Hubert Arthur Conneally, III in the Bronx, NY. He joined the Peace Corps following graduation from Georgetown University in 1966. In 1967, he enlisted in the USAF Officers Training Program and served tours of duty in Japan, Vietnam, Korea, Germany and Panama. After five years of active service, Stephen joined the USAF Reserves and retired in August 1991, following a last recall to Desert Storm. He went on to work at Aberdeen Proving Ground's Ballistic Research Laboratory/Army Research Laboratory in 1973 and retired after many years as Chief of Foreign Intelligence in September 2001.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Donna Glassman Conneally, and five children, Hubert Arthur, IV and Kathryn Elizabeth of Bel Air, Timothy Andrew of Pikesville, Sean Stephen of Port Washington, NY and Whitney Anne of Towson. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Maya Jeanne Conneally and siblings; Russell, Christopher, Marcia and Tracy Conneally and Jane Flood. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jean Ellen Conneally and brother, David Conneally.
