Major Robert D. Bailey Jr., Ret.

Major Robert D. Bailey, Jr, USA, Ret., 80, of Fallston, MD passed away on October 28, 2015 at his home. Born in Mount Hope, WV, he was the son of the late Robert Dow Bailey Sr. and Flora Gertrude (Kline) Bailey. He was a disabled veteran who had served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He later retired as a Major working in the Adjutant General Corp. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandchildren. He also volunteered, for about 20 years, as a U.S. Swimming Official.

Major Bailey is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith M. Bailey; son, Robert James Bailey (Jodi) of Red Lion, PA; daughters, Suzanne Bailey Jurich (Jay) of Joppa and Lisa Bailey Appel (Gary) of Bel Air; and grandchildren, Taylor Brown Wood (C.J.), Allie Brown, Austin Appel, Madison Brown, Delaney Appel and Samuel Bailey. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sisters, Roberta and Beryl.
