Madison Summer Lynn Corcoran born August 20, 2009 at GMBC in Baltimore MD, lived in Bel Air, MD, and graced us with her sweet lovable self for 3.5 years. She touched so many lives. Daughter to Natalie Corcoran and Steven Narup. Grand-daughter to Valerie Williams "Nona", Michael Corcoran "Pop Pop", Mark Narup "Pop-Pop", Cindy Narup "Nana", Great Grand-daughter to Polly Kurth "Nana", Niece to Joshua Corcoran, Lisa Williams, Dominic Williams, Damian Williams, Christie Williams, Jonathan Narup, Timothy Dykes, and Stefanie Dykes. Cousin to Julia and Jedidiah Dykes, (often Madie would refer to them as, "Juliajed") and Keira and Kamden.
Madison was a dream come true to her Mommy, who thought she couldn't have a baby. Madison was a joy from the beginning. She was always happy and goofy even at a young age. She always wanted to make everyone smile and would do silly things to get them to laugh. Madison loved music, especially Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars, she would often sing and dance in the car or at home. Mommy just loved showing Madison off and taking her places. She was a joy to be around and had a natural light in her beauty.
Madison took ballet classes for two years and always loved going there. She would always use her Mommy's phone to color pictures and said, "Mommy, I am going to make it pretty for you so like it". I told her, "Hunny, I would like it no matter what!" Whenever we would pass a Dunkin Donuts she would ask to go there, always getting a strawberry frosted donut with sprinkles. When we passed Chuck E Cheese she would yell out, "CHUCK E CHEESE!!! I always say that right Mommy?" She would also always say "I liked babies and doggies, right Mommy? I like babies." Whenever I did something she liked, whether it was buying her Dora Fruit Snacks or taking her to Friendly's, she would exclaim, "Mommy, you're the BEST!" While at Friendly's she would eat the sour cream for her chicken quesadillas by licking it out of the container or using a spoon and would say, "I love whipped cream!" Every day at daycare and every night before bed she would always call me back and say, "Just ONE more kiss, just ONE more hug", while holding her finger up and giving me this adorable smile. Madison was never short on affection. She knew how to love and would always say, "Momma, I love you", on her own. She loved an opportunity to sleep in my bed or for me to carry her around.
While spending time with her Daddy, she enjoyed blowing bubbles, showing off her dance moves, ice cream dates at Brooms Bloom, and hiking in Harford Glen. We frequented numerous playgrounds with her; how she enjoyed the great outdoors. One of her favorite places was a man made see-saw where cousins 'Juliajed', Uncle Timmy, Aunt Stefy and Dada would play. She would scream out with excitement and laughter, exclaiming, "More Daddy!" So Daddy would jump harder so the three kids would get some height to jump up in the air. While Madie enjoyed the great outdoors and getting down and dirty; she so enjoyed dressing up in all her magnificent (wonderful) dresses…such a beautiful princess in all her lace and flowing ringlets of hair. She had immense passion for all those who had the privilege of meeting her, especially for those children in her live; as well as all the families pets particularly the dogs. Nana watched Madie each Wednesday evening into Thursday morning; when Nana would go to wake Madie in the morning, Nana would sing the exact same song that her own Dad sang to her as a little girl. One Thursday morning recently, while traveling down 543 on their way to Daycare; out of the blue, Madie exclaimed, "Nana, I love the way you wake me up in the morning!" "You do" I said. "Yes! You make me happy…I love you so much!"
Madie would often play with Play Doe with her Daddy; they enjoyed making various creatures and objects using the various colors of dough. Then Daddy and Madie would create an imaginary place where they would go to using those same items they had created. Madie had a great sense of humor; she was a sweet silly little girl. Her favorite Christmas present this year was a simple yet very meaningful gift to her…a whoopee cushion! How excited she was in blowing it up, plopping down on it, giggling hysterically and starting the process all over again. Little did she know that the Narup's actually went through a number of these whoopee cushions because we all took part in the fun. Madie was full of life, taking everything in…not missing a beat; she had a keen sense of what really matter in life. Madie represented love, life, and happiness. She would want us all to take time along the way and appreciate both the big and small things in our lives. Life is short; you only have one life to live – appreciate it while you are still here on Earth, for one never knows when your time will come to a close! We love and miss you our dear little Madie. We find comfort in knowing that someday we will be reunited with you. For now rest comfortable in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Madison went home to be with Jesus and truly become a sleeping beauty angel on February 27th, 2013.
