MADELINE C. TAPSCOTT, age 77, of Bel Air, MD, died on January 27, 2006 at her residence. Born in Hadensville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Daniel and Willie Archer Payne Condrey. She was married to the late W. Cecil Tapscott, and a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was also a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Tapscott is survived by two sons, Wayne Tapscott, and his wife Sally, and Larry Tapscott, and his wife Wendy, all of Churchville, MD; six brothers, Robert D. Tucker Condrey, Jr. and Joseph P. Condrey, both of Richmond, VA, Allen T. Condrey of Rockville, VA, A. Milton Condrey of Richmond, VA, Howard W. Condrey of Rockville, VA and William T. Condrey of Richmond, VA; one sister, Joyce Pitts of Richmond, VA; and four grandchildren, Beth Tapscott, April Tapscott, Matt Tapscott and Jessica Tapscott, all of Churchville, MD.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Clyde V. Condrey and Alfred C. Condrey; and two sisters, Catherine Condrey and Mabel Condrey Richardson.
Pallbearers were Paul Vikestad, Bob Willard, Ben Walker, Paul Reich, John Lorenzo and Jim Little. Honorary Pallbearers were Bryce Burton, Harold Burdette, John Willard, Tom Gurganious, Paul Kuraguntla, Ernie Moretz, Ward Bauguess and Dan Kilby.
