Mable Brown

Mable Brown, age 87, of Edgewood, MD, died on January 26, 2009 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Benson, MD, she was the daughter of the late Joshua and Janie Britton and wife of the late Harvey L. Brown. She was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church for over 70 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and loved spending time with family.

Mrs. Brown is survived by six sons, Harvey Brown Jr. and Patrick Brown, both of Irvington, NJ, James and Jerome Brown, both of Newark, NJ, Thomas Brown of Chester, PA and John Brown of Edgewood, MD; three daughters, Loretta Hicks of Orange, NJ, Stella Herring of Hillside, NJ and Cora Brown of Edgewood, MD; seventeen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a daughter, Gloria Moses, two brothers and two sisters.
