Mabel E. Watters

MABEL E. WATTERS, age 69, of Joppa, MD, died on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Born in Riverhead, NY, she was the daughter of Mabel Elizabeth Parrish Brown of Joppa, MD and the late John Melvin Brown. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family said that her door was always open to children, and that she had custody of and was raising a great-granddaughter, Anastacia Harper. They also said that she was a loving and devoted wife.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Watters is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles W. Watters, Jr.; three sons, Charles W. Watters III, and his wife Jeanne A. Watters, of Bel Air, MD, Jon O. Watters, and his wife Kimberly J. Watters, of Bel Air, MD and Marvin D. Watters and his wife, Rose M. Watters, of Edgewood, MD; three daughters, Lois A. Watters of Edgewood, MD, Cheryl L. Watters and Stacy N. Watters, both of Joppa, MD; three brothers, John M. Brown, Jr. of Herrellsville, NC, William H. Brown of Joppa, MD and James D. Brown of Berkley, CA; two sisters, Christine L. Brown of Joppa, MD and Pamela B. Bond of Aberdeen, MD; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
