M. Bernice Black

M. Bernice Black, age 86, of Forest Hill, MD, died on September 25, 2008 at Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Sparta, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Mac and Nancy Caroline Andrews Toliver and wife of the late Ray Black Sr. She retired from Bata Shoe Corporation where she had worked for 35 years. She enjoyed crocheting and was a member of Women of the Moose in Forest Hill, MD, as well as, the Ladies Auxiliary at the V.F.W. in Dublin, MD.

Mrs. Black is survived by a son, Ray "Butch" Black Jr. of Forest Hill, MD; former daughter-in-law, Norma Daniels of Darlington, MD; and a sister, Avis Gross of Atlanta, GA.
