Lucy B. Long

Lucy B. Long, age 74, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on September 8, 2012 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Jarrettsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late George William and Grace Mae Founds Singleton and wife of the late Frederick Wesley Long. She worked for Bata Shoe Company for two years and then retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground after 34 years where she worked in Public Affairs. A member of St. Joan of Arc and the Abingdon VFW Auxiliary, she enjoyed baking, sewing, dancing, bowling and any outdoor activities. Up until her amputation she also played softball.

Mrs. Long is survived by her daughter, Debra Long of Aberdeen, MD and; sister, Mildred V. Lehner of Pasadena, MD.
