Lucille B. Thompson, age 86, of Bel Air, MD, died on October 4, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Albright, WV, she was the daughter of the late Arbanes Sylvester and Susan Blanche Summers Hardesty. She was very inquisitive and well read, and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. A very humble person, she loved to read her Bible and was devoted to Sunday worship at Harford Senior Worship Center.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her son, Bryan Hughes and wife, Kimberly, of Nottingham, MD; three daughters, Millie O'Brien of Essex, MD, Carolyn Sue Morgan of Middle River, MD, and Diane Schmittinger and husband, William, of Bel Air, MD; a brother, Elmer Hardesty of Buckhannon, WV; two sisters, Pearl Titchenell and Myrtle Wilhelm, both of Kingwood, WV; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, Henry, Alva, and William Hardesty, and a sister, Goldie VanMeter.
