Luann Horn, age 66, of Forest Hill, Maryland passed away on February 26, 2022, at her home while holding the hands of her family. After a long battle with cancer, there is no more pain and suffering. She now rests in the arms of the Lord.
Born in Hanover, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Harry and Betty (Martin) Groft and wife of 40 years to Kenneth Horn, Jr.
She was an active member of Christ Our King Presbyterian Church. Luann retired from Harford County Public Schools where she worked in Food Service at Emmorton Elementary, Fallston Middle, and Forest Hill Elementary schools. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays when she always cooked a full meal with homemade desserts. She also loved flower gardening, decorating the house for every possible holiday and camping at the beach.
In addition to her husband, Luann is survived by a daughter, Joann and her husband Nathaniel Sloan of Abingdon; son, Kevin and his wife Tabitha Horn of Bel Air; grandson, Jayden Matthew Sloan; granddaughter, Savannah Rose Horn; two brothers, Harry "Frank" Staub and Brian Groft.
