LTC JONATHAN MECHEN WEAVER, JR. (USA Retired), age 77, of Havre de Grace, MD, died on February 18, 2006 at Harford Memorial Hospital. Born in Glenside, PA, he was the son of the late Jonathan Mechen Weaver, Sr. and Pearl Matthews Weaver. He retired from the US Army after 24 years. He was a 26-year resident of Harford County who enjoyed rowing shells, reading history, navigational charting and traveling.
Mr. Weaver is survived by his wife, Glenda Rose Weaver of Havre de Grace, MD; two sons, Asa D. Coulson of St. Louis, MO and Jonathan M. Weaver, III, and his wife, Sandy, of Delta, PA; six daughters, Mimi Cole, and her husband, Larry, of North East, MD, Kim Thompson, and her husband, Greg, of Palm Coast, FL, Elizabeth Meadows of Forest Hill, MD, and her husband, Joe, of Bel Air, MD, Sally Weaver of Timonium, MD, Cyndi Battaglia, and her husband, Steve, of Atkins, VA and Kathleen “Kakie” Weaver of Timonium, MD; three step children, Jack Ransone, and his wife, Connie, of Texas, Kate Diehl, and her husband, Mark, of Texas and Carey McCormick, and her husband Patrick, of Havre de Grace, MD; 13 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild..
In addition to his parents, Col. Weaver was predeceased by a granddaughter, Megan Gabrielle Thompson.
