Lt. Col. James E. Carrozza (Ret.)

Lt. Col. James E. Carrozza (Ret.), age 87, of Bel Air, MD passed away on March 23, 2013 at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bel Air. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Herman Charles and Marguerite Evans Carrozza. A U.S. Veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired after 40 years as a Logistical Engineer serving in WWII and Korea. He was very generous, had a good sense of humor and could fill a room with his laughter.

Lt. Col. Carrozza is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Jones Carrozza; sons, George "Gary" Garfield Carrozza of Columbia and James H. Carrozza of Fallston; daughters, Elizabeth Jane Szymanski of Bel Air and Margaretta Grimm of Goose Creek, SC; and grandchildren, Kaitlin E. Carrozza, Evan J. Carrozza, David J. Szymanski, Sarah Beth Szymanski, Michael J. Szymanski and Mia S. Grimm. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson, Donald Clayton Carrozza.

Services will be held at Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, MD on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. H. James Riddell officiating.
