Lovella Compton

Lovella Compton, age 74, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on May 9, 2012 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD. Born in Tazewell County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Giles Eli and Stella Edna Street Compton. A resident of Harford County for 38 years, she was a member of Porters Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family and also playing cards. She collected angels and her family described her as their angel. She was strong and independent and the love in her name was reflected in the love of her family.

Ms. Compton is survived by her son, Richard Joel Street of Aberdeen, MD; daughter, Kimberly Ann Gardner and husband, William, of New Windsor, MD; stepson, William Dean Wielenbeck and wife, Sandra Kay, of Port Deposit, MD; brothers, Sturgle Compton of Richlands, VA and Ralph Compton and wife, Virginia, of Rising Sun, MD; sisters, Carleen Jackson and husband, Fred, and Faye Street, all of Rosedale, MD; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
