Louise Mello

Louise Capeto Mello, age 93, of Edgewood, MD, passed away on October 23, 2014 at her home. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late John and Guilhermina Caetano Rego Capeto and wife of the late Lawrence C. Mello. She was strong in her faith and in 1977 was one of the founding families of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. An avid reader her entire life, she liked to stay in tune with current events, politics and finance. She enjoyed crafts, which included knitting and crocheting, and donated hats she made to all different charities. She also enjoyed travelling, especially RVing with her husband and son, Larry Jr.

Mrs. Mello is survived by her son, Lawrence C. Mello Jr. of Edgewood; daughters, Patricia M. Egender and husband, Charles, of Edgewood and Kathleen L. Mello-Nelson and husband, Michael Nelson, of Aurora, CO; brother, Albert Capeto of Somerset, MA; grandchildren, Melanie Cravens, Erin Nelson and Charles Adam Egender; and great-grandchildren, Connor Cravens, Taryn Nelson and Cory Nelson.
