Louise Lucille Beavers passed into the life eternal on December 8, 2013 at the Senator Bob Hooper Hospice House with all her family around her. She was 92 and born Louise Day in West Jefferson, North Carolina to the late Richard F. and Bina V. Day. She graduated from Fleetwood High School and excelled at playing basketball for her school. She married the late Gilbert F. Beavers (Pete) on April 25, 1942 in Washington, DC. They moved to Joppa, Maryland in 1942 where she worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground munitions department for about five years, making material for the war effort and providing for their young family while Gilbert went off to war.
Louise was a beloved member of the community and could frequently be found in her flower and vegetable garden. For almost forty years, she loved making fresh flower arrangements for her church. She attended Oak Grove Baptist Church and loved helping other people.
She is survived by three children, Richard F. Beavers (Jean), of the Eastern Shore, Norma L. Landreth (Tom), of Bel Air and Harold D. Beavers (Rebecca) of Fallston; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Richard F. Beavers, Harold D. Beavers, T. Randy Landreth, Timothy B. Landreth, Steven R. Beavers and Jeffrey D. Beavers. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Leizear, Tony Day, Sam Day, Steven N. Landreth, Chad Walker and Larry Day.
