Louis R. Barry

May 29, 1957 — August 25, 2005

Louis Robert Barry, age 48, of Joppa, died in Bermuda on August 25, 2005. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Robert Barry and Mary White Barry, and brother of the late Toni Barry.

Mr. Barry is survived by his wife of eight years, Deborah Wiser-Barry of Joppa; four daughters, Melanie Elliott of Kingsville, Toni Zinnamon of Columbia, Erica Barry of Essex, and Cheryl Gilley of Aberdeen; four grandchildren, Cheyenne Elliott of Kingsville, Katherine Barry of Essex, Chase Eilliott of Kingsville, and Hailey Zinnamon of Columbia; two brothers, Drew Barry of Bel Air and his friend, Joy, Gary Robinson of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Linda Sumner of Street and her husband, Bob, and Gail Dobbs of Jarrettsville and her friend, Jeff; brother-in-law, Bill Wiser of Hernando Beach, Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Barry was a valuable employee of Acadia for over 30 years. He was well known for his knowledge of window systems, and his leadership in the manufacturing line. Lou was one of the most critical members of Acadia’s Management team.

He was an active member of the Essex Motorcycle Club and Abate of Maryland. He had a great love of traveling on his motorcycle all over the US with his wife and many friends.

He also reached out to many while helping fellow friends search for their Serenity.

Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Wingert, Phil Wiser, Joe Perkins, Ron Short, Scott Cain, and James Gilley. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Essex Motorcycle Club.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers to make donations to “The Annual 911 Flag Ride” in memory of Lou Barry. Make checks payable to “HD Store 911” and sent to Harley Davidson of Baltimore, 8845 Pulaski Highway, Baltimore, MD 21237, Attn: Lou Barry Memorial Fund.
